At 6"2 245 lbs I find the Legacy very roomy and comfortable. Smooth quite ride and the turbo gives you plenty of power on the highway with good gas mileage. The Touring XT is a solid and safe all wheel drive vehicle for any type of traveling.
    • After 23000 miles...

It is a very good reliable car that handles well (for the most part) and gives combined mileage of 25+mpg. Overall, I consider this car to be much above average based on my 2+ yr of ownership. Pros: 1) The fulltime symmetrical AWD powertrain and confidant handling in all weather conditions. Very stable at 80+ mph. 2) The Eyesight system is great when used with adaptive cruise control for those long drives. Sometimes the stopping can be a bit harsh (even with max distance) and I end up taking over the braking. It does well in slow speed stop and go and handles well when others sneak in front of you. 3) Great space for a sedan of this class in the front and back. I have done a few long distance trips with 5 adults. It's a bit tight for 3 in the back, but not terrible. 4) Seats are not very comfortable for road trips. 5) Steering responsive headlights. 6) Trunk space is huge and fits a lot of stuff. 7) Spare tire in the trunk with jack. 8) Basic infotainment system that works well (for the most part) and can connect to multiple phones at the same time. 9) Good accessories that can be installed by DIY-ers. I enjoyed the roof racks, fog lights, and auto-dimming outside mirrors. 10) Great storage for driver, and passengers. 11) MySubaru app and the integration with car seems to work very well for the most part. I love the car status information that shows actual ODO, tire pressure, fuel level and other diagnostic info by system. Cons: 1) Slow infotainment system. Sometimes I have to wait 5+ seconds for it to respond to touch/button. 2) Climate control baked into the infotainment system is a terrible idea IMO. Once the big screen/system failed to boot and was showing that wheel of death. It disabled all other systems in the car, Eyesight, Cruise, Climate and it stayed that way for the entire trip of 4+ hours. It literally became a base model car from the 90s. But it kept driving as the dash is still analog. 3) There's no trunk open option at the trunk lid. Trunk can be opened from dash or from the key. Trunk hinges are squeaky only after a few months. 4) Low fidelity and quality speakers in the doors. I ended up upgrading the front speakers and got a much better sound. 5) Noisy interior with significant engine noise. 6) CVT Transmission can be a bit jerky at times. 7) Quality issues in the engine, it had a rattle from day-1 when started cold after sitting for a day or more. 8) Subaru constantly sends driving data from the car and there's no options to participate.
    • Comfortable, smooth, and reliable

This is my first new car, so I can't compare it to my previous driving experiences, as my last car (Chrysler Sebring) had 20k miles on it when I purchased it. This car drives more smoothly than anything I've driven before. The steering wheel has an average response, but still feels perfectly matched with the vehicle's build dynamics. The interior is VERY comfortable, with plenty of room in the front and back seats. When the 60/40 folding back seats are folded forward, the room for cargo is impressive. The visibility is amazing, and when paired to the LED headlights, it is the best I've ever been able to see out of a car's windows at night. Although, I get high beamed by other vehicles at night, because they assume my high beams are on, they quickly realize they were the low beams when I flash my highs at them. Lol My car only has 2800 miles on it, so time will tell how reliable it really is, but for now I absolutely love this car. One caveat that I wish Subaru will change is with an update to keep ALL settings on the touch screen where I set them AFTER I turn the car off, and then back on again. Thank you Subaru for continuing production on this amazing sedan!!!

*Due to the present automotive environment where there is a shortage of new vehicles produced by the vehicle manufacturers the dealership feels it is very important to educate our customers.   Because of  the rapidly changing inventory availability the dealership wants to identify for our customers some of the matters they should be aware of so that our customers are best educated in this present environment of new vehicle shortages.
MSRP means  the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price ("MSRP") of the vehicle. The MSRP plus, the  dealer documentation fee of $549, and the title fee of $5.00 that dealers may charge to procure the certificate of title is the initial selling price of the vehicle.  The initial selling price does not include any sales or use taxes title and registration fees paid to the appropriate registry of motor vehicles, warranty or insurance products, rebates or other similar charges that you may purchase over and above the initial selling price of the vehicle. Rather, the items listed in the previous sentence will be additional costs added to the  initial selling price of the vehicle to arrive at a final and actual selling price.
Pricing and availability of the vehicle may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to options, the dealer, specials, fees, and financing qualifications. Consult  with the dealership  for the final actual purchase price of the vehicle and complete details of what makes up the final purchase price of the vehicle.
Incentives are subject to qualification. Not all buyers will qualify for the incentives being offered by the vehicle manufacturer.
The optional equipment on the vehicle you choose may be different than the optional equipment that is included in the advertised vehicle and the difference in optional equipment may affect the final price. Consult with the dealership  for the actual price of the vehicle, payments to be made, and complete details.  Also, it is important that the consumer review the Monroney sticker  on the vehicle BEFORE purchasing the vehicle.  Due to the chip shortage, equipment that a customer expects to be included on the vehicle may not be included.  Rather the manufacturer will generally itemize on the Monroney sticker what equipment is not installed in the vehicle and generally provide a small, itemized credit.   It is imperative that customers read and review the Monroney sticker BEFORE finalizing the purchase of the vehicle.
A vehicle in transit means that the vehicle has been built but has not yet arrived at the  dealership. Images shown in any advertisement media such as a website may not necessarily represent the identical vehicle  that is in transit to the dealership.
While the dealership does try to make sure all information posted is accurate, we cannot be responsible for typographical and other errors (e.g., data transmission) that may appear on our website. If the posted price (including finance and lease payments) for a vehicle is incorrect, the dealership will endeavor to provide you with the correct price as soon as the dealership becomes aware of the error. In the event a vehicle is priced incorrectly, the dealership shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the vehicle presented with the incorrect price. In addition, due to manufacturer's inventory shortage, vehicle prices are subject to change.   All vehicles are subject to prior sale and may not be available when you are ready to purchase.
A price quoted on a given day is not valid the next day because there is a dramatic swing in the value of new vehicles and their availability.
