The Crosstrek Hybrid combines the best of two worlds: the efficiency of a hybrid with the power and performance of a Subaru. The SUV draws its power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. This is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that delivers smooth, timely shifts. The Crosstrek Hybrid has a total system output of 148 horsepower and can travel up to 17 miles on purely electric power.
It can take up to five hours to charge an 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery using a 120-volt household outlet. With a Level 2 public charger or 240-volt outlet, charging time is reduced to approximately two hours. Either way, charging it overnight will have it ready to go for your morning commute!
The Crosstrek also features a unique all-wheel-drive system that uses one electric motor to power the front wheels and another to power the rear wheels.
