Subaru's Award Winning EyeSight To Become Standard Feature
The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) plans to implement a regulatory requirement on Automatic Emergency Braking systems by 2025, so Subaru, being known for the safety of its vehicles, accepted the challenge and pledged to meet this goal three years in advance.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) research suggests that Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems reduce the number of rear-end crashes by 40 percent, totaling to roughly 28,000 accidents and 12,000 injuries.
For now, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is an additional Vehicle Safety Feature on many select Subaru models, including Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, WRX and Crosstrek.
