Subaru is continuing its successful charity event for its fourth year this holiday season - donating $250 towards your choice of 1 of 5 charities for every Subaru purchased during this time. It's called the Subaru 'Share the Love' Event and runs from November 19th thru January 3rd. One of the recipients this year is the ASPCA and in conjunction with that, Haddad Subaru is sponsoring a pet food drive to benefit the Berkshire Humane Society on Barker Road in Pittsfield, MA (the Berkshire Humane Society is not affiliated with the ASPCA but they can apply to receive amounts raised by the Subaru Share the Love campaign).
In speaking with the director, John Perreault, it was determined that dog or cat pet food is what is most needed this holiday season. Any brand, in any size, would be helpful. Gift cards to local grocery stores or pet food stores would also be welcome. To make a donation, just drop off your pet food to Haddad Subaru at 652 East Street in Pittsfield, MA during regular business hours.
Subaru is a '2010 Top Pet Friendly' car manufacturer. For over the past year, Haddad Subaru has worked closely with the Berkshire Humane Society to encourage adoption of their dogs. Every week, 1 dog is designated as a Haddad Subaru 'Dog of the Week' and, in addition to advertising that individual dog on our website and Facebook, Haddad Subaru contributes $50 towards its adoption fee if the dog is adopted during its week.
