Performance and Efficiency
Sedans are
seen by many as a dependable way to travel, but what often seems to be
lacking from them is good traction control on a variety of surfaces and
adverse weather conditions. The Subaru Legacy shows itself to hold its
own with some SUVs with the standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive
to maximize traction evenly between all four wheels; this feature is
unavailable on the Mazda6 sedan. In fact, the engine of the Mazda6 has a
bit less fuel efficiency to offer as its fuel tank can hold 13.2
gallons of fuel, over the 18.5-gallon fuel tank capacity of the Subaru
Legacy Sedan.
Interior Space and Versatility
Interestingly, the Mazda6 sedan is
the larger of these two midsize sedans, standing at a 111.4-inch
wheelbase and a length of 192.7 inches, yet the Legacy is the one which
offers a greater amount of interior space for you and your passengers.
While this midsize sedan measures a wheelbase of 108.3 inches, with a
length of 188.8 inches, the Subaru Legacy offers a passenger volume of
104.6 cubic feet, providing ample head and shoulder room for you and
your passengers in the backseats. The Mazda6 sedan features a passenger
volume of 99.7 cubic feet and falls short when it comes to providing
ample space for you and your copilot up front. When you pop the trunk on
the Subaru Legacy, you will find that it provides lots of space for
what you take with you, with up to 15 cubic feet of cargo space over the
13.2 cubic feet of the Mazda6 sedan.
