Don't miss out on the celebrations of our nation's independence this July 4th!

       On Wednesday, July 4 in downtown Pittsfield, the annual Fourth of July parade will begin at 10 a.m (rain or shine). The parade route starts at Housatonic & South St., just south of Park Square, along North Street and ending at Wahconah Park. In the evening, fireworks will follow the Pittsfield Suns home game at Wahconah Park. The game begins at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin right afterward.        In North County, a fireworks display, courtesy of Hoosac Bank, will follow the Steeple Cats game. Playing at Joe Wolfe Field in North Adams, the Steeple Cats take on Sanford at 6:30 p.m., with the skies lighting up after the last out. For information, call 413-663-7333.

       In Lenox, fireworks will follow the July 4th performance of Berkshires' own James Taylor at Tanglewood. Tickets for July 4th are sold out at this point but spectacular views of the fireworks can be seen on the...

Bring your kayak or canoe and dine under the fireworks!   If you don't have one, see the Arcadian Shop in Lenox - they'll be happy to rent you whatever you need.
